git show <commit-hash> => check the metadata and content changes of the commit

git log => display a log of all the commits or the commit history

git remote add origin <repo url>=> create a new connection record to a remote repository

git remote –v => shows any connected remote repositories

git push origin main=> origin is the location of the git repository, main is the branch

git push –u origin main => explicitly define branch for future pushes

git branch=> display all branches and the current branch

git checkout=> exit branch or switch between branches

git checkout <branch-name> => switch into the specified branch

git checkout –b <branch-name> => create a new branch and switch to it on the fly

git diff <branch-name> => show changes between your current working directory and your staging area or check the unstaged changes

git branch –a <new-branch-name> => rename the current branch

git branch –d <branch-name> => delete a branch

git merge <branch-name> => incorporates changes from the named commits (since the time their histories diverged from the current branch) into the current branch

A request to have your code pulled into another branch

git pull origin main=> used to fetch and download content from a remote repository and immediately update the local repository to match that content

git reset <file>=> used to undo local changes to the state of git repository; it removes from the staging area/index but leaves the file unchanged in the working directory.

git reset head~1=> undo changes one step further to the last commit

git reset --hard head~1=> all changes completely removed; when using --hard all the changes will be removed from the local git repository, index/staging area and working directory

At this point I highly recommend learning SQL independently. SQL is a standard language for storing, manipulating and retrieving data in the majority of relational databases.

Now here comes the reason I recommended React initially at the beginning of this post.

React Native is a JavaScript framework for writing real, natively rendering mobile applications for iOS and Android. It’s based on React, Meta’s JavaScript library for building user interfaces, but instead of targeting the browser, it targets mobile platforms. React Native makes it easy to simultaneously develop for both Android and iOS. Magic right? probably not.

Electron is a framework for building desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. By embedding Chromium and Node.js into its binary, Electron allows you to maintain one JavaScript codebase and create cross-platform apps that work on Windows, macOS, and Linux — no native development experience required.

Ionic is an open source UI toolkit for building performant, high-quality mobile apps using web technologies — HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — with integrations for popular frameworks like Angular, React and Vue.

While following this guideline writing code is inevitable. Therefore, I recommend getting your hands dirty on the keyboard and learn by doing. Most importantly be consistent.
